Unsettled and cool for the rest of the week. Risk of some thundery downpours between Wednesday and Friday, however, it may turn hot and humid briefly early next week before a potentially thundery breakdown ;)

Looks likely to turn hot and humid by Monday although it may not last. Could get very thundery in the south-east especially through Monday & Tuesday. Whatever, it should be great for moths 8-)

Turned out to be correct. 30.1C on Monday and heavy thunderstorms on Tuesday.
Some High Pressure around for a while now although it looks more unsettled again midweek

Well this July is turning out rather poor again. I did have some nice weather in Dorset last week though. Stayed in Highcliffe(east of Bournemouth) between Sunday and Thursday and it remained dry with some good sun on the coast for much of the time.
Back to now and we are being controlled by a rather autumnal low pressure which means cool & breezy conditions with rain or showers. I'm hoping that things will settle down a bit by next weekend but until then it won't be very summery unfortunately

Well it was a fairly poor summer. Likely to be the coolest since at least 1993. Lots of rain in places as well.
September has continued in an unsettled state. Monday will see the remains of Hurricane Katia battering Scotland and it will be windy everywhere. Warm for the South for a couple of days though :)

It's been not only cool this summer here in Exeter but most of it has been short on sunshine, windy & very, very dry. We have long arms from carrying water, butts are almost empty. Jean & Graham

Not a problem I have at the moment - 20mm fell Saturday night, and another 10 last night. So blowy this morning I had to be very careful cycling in to work.

No lack of rain here since the dry Spring. It's been better recently and we have had this heatwave to contend with! Cooler and windier shortly as a large depression whizzes past Scotland midweek.

Dave - any chance of a weather round-up for the next newsletter when you have a mo?

Ooops - just spotted this! Will send tomorrow.
Going to be a mixed outlook now with westerly influence alternating mild and cooler airstreams over the next week or so. Warmer on Sunday 8-)
