 Post subject: Nuthatch feeding young

I spotted a Nuthatch nest last week in my lunch break. Right beside a busy area for feeding ducks! I was so surprised that it had nested there as I would have thought they would prefer somewhere quieter.

I had initially gone over with my camera to get some dragonfly pics but there werent any :( when I spotted this. No-one else was aware it was there.

You can just see the mouths gaping at the hole

Thanks J&G. No, not really very high at all. At a guess, I would say between 15 and 20 feet up (which was handy for me lol).

Hi Nigel :D Hey, the Valerian are doing fantasticly well. Very strong this year and flowering their socks off. Now, all I want is a Humming bird hawkmoth lol.
