 Post subject: A worn carpet

Any ideas on this worn carpet. At first I thought it was Spruce, but i'm not sure. Confirmation or correction would be very much appreciated.

Denise, if I were to guess, I'd say Spruce Carpet because of the shape of the central cross-line nearest the base (not very technical I know). :lol: Best I can do. Jean

Thanks Jean, but Roundwood (Steve) thinks that it is Grey Pine Carpet, one I've never seen.

...and to do it with any certainty it'll need its antennae looking at under a microscope (or gen.det.), as per the recently published Guide to Critical Species.
