Hi,
Does anyone have any idea as to the id of this rather plain pug. Caught last Friday.

Pass, Robin. Looks like a worn Brindled! Would be well worn, though, as this has been over for about two months.

How big is it? Certainly isn't a Plain Pug ;)

Mike,

It had a 10mm forewing. I find it hard to believe it's a Brindled, unless its a very very late emergent and that in a season when lots of species were early. Unfortunately I have let it go, so I can't provide anymore info.
Cheers,
Robin

Excellent, that would be it Steve - as far as I can remember I've only ever seen one of these. Widespread but very uncommon in Hampshire.
(btw I was joking with the Brindled suggestion, Robin!)
