Notes: Widespread but local. Males gather on downlands and meadows where they fly in numbers at dusk, and the females wander and occasionally come to light. The larva is polyphagous in the root systems of many herbaceous plants.
Distribution: Throughout Great Britain and Ireland, apparently absent from Jersey and Isles of Scilly.
