Notes: Locally common amongst bracken. The males sometimes swarm just before dusk over grassy places adjacent to stands of the foodplant. Larva in rhizomes of bracken.
Distribution: Local throughout Great Britain and Ireland. Absent from the Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands and the northern isles.
