Notes: Locally common to abundant. The larva is polyphagous in the root system of grasses and many other herbaceous plants. One of the first arrivals at light in the evening.
Distribution: Throughout Great Britain and Ireland but very local in Scotland. Absent from the Isles of Scilly, Jersey and the northern isles.
