Notes: The specimen illustrated here is assumed to be this species (over 0021 E.sericopeza). The latter mines Norway maple, with the present species on the more common field maple; outwardly, the two species are very similar, and historically there has been great confusion between the two. First recorded in vc12 in 1996.
UK distribution: Widely distributed in the south of England from Kent to Cambridgeshire and Somerset.
