Notes: A bivoltine species whose larva mine the leaves of oak in summer and autumn, with the adults appearing in late spring and again in late summer. It is unsafe to distinguish this species from Link to leafmines.co.uk
UK distribution: Widespread and probably the commonest member of the atricapitella group, occurring wherever there are oaks throughout.
