Notes: Common, England, Wales and southern Scotland; rare in Ireland. Wingspan 11-14mm. Nocturnal; July to August. Larva early September and (after diapause) April to late May. Larva mines leaves of Apple and Hawthorn, living and feeding in a movable case.
