Notes: Common, England and Wales, more numerous in the south. Wingspan 13-16mm. Nocturnal; June to July. Larva August to early October and (after diapause) April to May. Larva feeds on Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Apple, Pear, Rowan and Wild Cherry , living and feeding in a movable pistol-case.
