0985 Carnation Tortrix (Cacoecimorpha pronubana) (Hübner, 1799) - (Tortricidae / Tortricinae)


Notes: A species which has spread since its introduction to southern England in the early 20th century, and it is now widespread in the county, mainly in suburban areas. The larva feeds on cultivated privet Ligustrum ovalifolium and Euonymus and a number of other plants, and the moths are often seen flying by day in the vicinity of its foodplants.
