Notes: Common, Britain, more numerous in the south; rare in Ireland. Wingspan 12-16mm. Females nocturnal, males fly during the day; mid-May to early August. Frequents gardens, market gardens and farmland. Larva feeds within seedpods of Legum inosae, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some areas.
