Notes: Local, southern England and Breckland, predominantly coastal. Wingspan male 12-15mm, female 10-13mm. Females nocturnal, males fly in the afternoon; June to July. Frequents shingle beaches and sandy beaches. Larva feeds within roots of various grasses and Carex (sedges).
