Notes: Local, southern England, with records as far north as Yorkshire and Ireland. Wingspan 25-30mm. Nocturnal; mid-June to August. Frequents marshes, river-banks and damp areas. Larva feeds within stems of Common Reed, Reed Sweet-grass and Carex (sedges), cutting part of a leaf to use as a raft to float to a new foodplant.
