Notes: Common, Britain. Wingspan 20-25mm. Flies at dusk, also during the day if disturbed; July to August. Frequents ponds, lakes and slow-moving waters. Larva feeds on Branched Bur-reed, Unbranched Bur-reed, Yellow Water Lily and various wa ter plants, living and feeding entirely underwater.
