Notes: Nationally rare, south-western England, Wales and Ireland, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 27-34mm. Nocturnal, will fly during the day if disturbed; late July to October and (after hibernation) March to April, also in winter during mild spells. Larva feeds on Wild Madder.
