Status: Synanthropic
Notes: Naturalised via accidental introduction in shipments of dried goods, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 15-22mm. Nocturnal; May to June and September to October. Frequents barns, warehouses, grain-stores and chalk pits. Larva feeds on dried fruit, nu ts, wheat-flour, dried goods, cereals and grain, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some areas.
