Status: Rare migrant
Notes: Rare immigrant, mainland Europe, appearing as a migrant on the south and east coasts of Britain. Wingspan 34-42mm. Nocturnal; May to June and late July to August. Frequents deciduous woodland. Larva June to July an d September, over-wintering as a pupa, no evidence of breeding in the UK. Larva feeds on Silver Birch, Downy Birch, Alder and Oak.
