Notes: Nationally very rare, southern England and north-western England. Wingspan 24-27mm. Nocturnal, will fly during the day if disturbed; June to July. Frequents damp heathland and mosses. Larva late July to August, over-wintering as a pu pa. Larva feeds on Heather, Cross-leaved Heath, Creeping Willow, Gorse and various woody plants.
