Notes: Nationally rare, throughout the British Isles, but not in the south-east, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 16-18mm. Flies at dusk; June to July. Frequents south-facing hillsides, sea cliffs, quarries, sand-dunes and sand-hills. Larva August to September, over-wintering as a pupa. Larva feeds on flowers of Wild Thyme.
