Status: Nb Notes: Nationally rare, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 24-28mm. Nocturnal, may fly during the day; mid-April to May and mid-June to mid-August, just one generation in the north. Frequents fens, marshes, river-banks, damp areas, dam p heathland, mosses and moorland. Larva late May to mid-July and September to early October, over-wintering as a pupa.
