Notes: Endangered, north-eastern England. Wingspan male 34-40mm, female wingless. Females nocturnal, males fly during the day; June to July and August to October, final (partial) generation in the south only. Frequents heathland, damp w oodland, fens and bogs; low-lying areas. Larva August to June. Larva feeds on Hawthorn, Midland Hawthorn, Pedunculate Oak, Sessile Oak and various broadleaved trees and shrubs.
