Notes: Nationally very rare, southern England and western Scotland, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 26-32mm. Flies from afternoon; June to July. Frequents shingle beaches, rocky areas and calcerous grassland. Larva August to June. Larva fee ds on various lichens.
