Notes: Local, southern England and north-western England, spreading into Scotland. Wingspan 28-36mm. Nocturnal, may fly during the day; mid-May to mid-July and mid-August, final (partial) generation in the south only. Frequents broad-leav ed woodland and plantations. Larva August to October, over-wintering as a pupa. Larva feeds on lichens growing on, Oak, Birch, Beech, European Larch, Norway Spruce and various trees.
