Notes: Local, southern England, spreading into northern England. Wingspan 28-36mm. Nocturnal; late June to early September. Frequents broad-leaved woodland, mixed woodland, scrubby downland, scrubby heathland and fens. Larva September to late June. Larva feeds on lichens growing on, Pedunculate Oak, Sessile Oak, Silver Birch, Downy Birch, Hawthorn, Midland Hawthorn, various deciduous trees and bushes, Yew and various coniferous trees.
