Status: Vagrant/Accidental
Notes: Very rare immigrant, mainland Europe, appearing as a migrant throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 33-42mm. Nocturnal; May to August. Frequents south-facing hillsides, heathland and woodland clearings. Larva September to April, no evidence of breeding in the UK. Larva feeds on various herbaceous plants and various grasses.
