Notes: Local, throughout the British Isles, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 30-40mm. Nocturnal, may fly during the day; July to September. Frequents sand-dunes, sand-hills and heaths; 0-100m. Larva September to June. Larva feeds on Lady's Bedstraw, Hedge Bedstraw, Heath Bedstraw and Sea Sandwort.
