Notes: Nationally rare, England and eastern Scotland, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 32-42mm. Flies at dusk; June to July. Frequents sandy beaches; 0-50m. Larva August to May, over-wintering in a cocoon. Larva feeds on various herbaceous plants.
