Status: Rare migrant
Notes: Rare immigrant, northern Europe, appearing as a migrant on the south and east coasts of Britain. Wingspan 31-36mm. Nocturnal; May to June and August, final (partial) generation in the south only. Frequents rough ground and open areas. La rva June to August, over-wintering as a pupa, no evidence of breeding in the UK. Larva feeds on flowers and stems and leaves of St. John's Wort.
