Notes: Local, southern England, north-western England and Scotland, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 36-46mm. Nocturnal, may fly during the day; late June to September. Frequents rocky areas, mountains, sea cliffs and quarries; 0-800m. Larva October to May. Larva feeds on Harebell, Brussels Sprouts, Purple Saxifrage, Yellow Saxifrage, various herbaceous plants, Sheep's Fescue and various grasses.
