Notes: Local, Scotland, north-western England and south-eastern England. Wingspan 32-42mm. Nocturnal; August to September. Frequents broad-leaved woodland, moorland and wooded heathland. Larva September to early April. Larva feeds on Bilb erry, Bramble, Sallow, Silver Birch, Downy Birch, various woody plants and various herbaceous plants.
