Notes: Nationally very rare, southern England, spreading into northern England. Wingspan 29-36mm. Nocturnal; late July to late August. Frequents woodland, thickets, copses and plantations. Larva April to mid-June, having over-wintered as an egg. Larva feeds on Common Elm, Wych Elm and Small-leaved Elm.
