Notes: Nationally rare, England, predominantly coastal. Wingspan 42-50mm. Nocturnal; late June to early August. Frequents salt-marshes, mud-flats, estuaries, sand-dunes, sand-hills, marshes, river-banks, damp areas and fens; 0-100m. Larva late September to late May. Larva feeds on roots and lower stems of Common Salt-marsh Grass, Reflexed Salt-marsh Grass and Bulbous Meadow-grass.
