Notes: Common, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 31-36mm. Nocturnal; late June to September. Frequents calcerous grassland, gardens, farmland, heathland and woodland. Larva September to May. Larva feeds on Goosefoot, Ta ll Fescue, Tufted Hair-grass, various cereal crops and various grasses.
