Notes: Common, throughout the British Isles. Wingspan 28-32mm. Nocturnal; July to early September. Frequents calcerous grassland, gardens, farmland, heathland and woodland. Larva September to May. Larva feeds on Cock's-foot, Red Fescue, Shee p's Fescue and Tall Fescue.
