Notes: Local, western England, northern England and Scotland. Wingspan 29-35mm. Nocturnal; August to September. Frequents moorland, unimproved grassland, sand-dunes and sand-hills. Larva May to July, having over-wintered as an egg. Larva feeds on roots and lower stems of Yellow Iris.
