Notes:
Common throughout much of the British Isles. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 4.8-6.6 mm. Imago very similar to S. obliquella and S. myrtillella, and more frequently recorded in the larval stage, when mines are relatively easy to find where they are present. Larva mines leaves of Eared Willow, Goat Willow and Grey Willow, over-wintering as a pupa.
