Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in bananas from the West Indies. The only known specimen was found at Finsbury, London, in the summer of 1936 as a larva on a banana in a bunch bought from a street stall and bred out on 4 September 1936. The specimen is in the BMNH and was probably imported from Jamaica or British Guyana (MBGBI Vol 2). Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 14 mm. Larva feeds on Banana.
