Extinct in the British Isles, formerly over Bilberry in sheltered situations on calcareous soils in the Pentland Hills, near Edinburgh, but not seen since the middle of the 19th Century. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 15-18 mm. Larva mines leaves of Grass-of-Parnassus, living between leaves spun together with silk.
