Nationally scarce (Na) in hedgerows, waste ground and dry grassland in southern England, from East Anglia westwards to Herefordshire and Cornwall (MBGBI Vol 3). In Hampshire there is one old record from 1936. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 9-10 mm. Larva feeds within seedheads of Rough Chervil, Ground-elder and Burnet-saxifrage, over-wintering as a pupa.
