Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on saltmarshes from Sussex to Lincolnshire, preferring the drier areas at mean high-tide level. In Hampshire known only from Hayling Island. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 9-10 mm. Larva feeds on the seeds and leaves of Annual Sea-blight, living within a movable case; case length 8-9 mm.
