Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and possibly confined to Devon, Somerset and Worcestershire; previously known from south-western England northwards to Cheshire. Refound in the New Forest, Hampshire in 2010 (and again in 2011), after an absence of over 70 years. Wingspan 13-17 mm. Flies in early morning sunshine. Larva feeds on dead wood of Oak, Beech and Ivy.
