Extinct in the British Isles, formerly in marshes, fens and on river-banks in parts of East Anglia, not seen since the 19th Century. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 14-15 mm. Larva feeds on Purple Loosestrife, living between shoots spun together with silk.
