0832a Caryocolum blandelloides Karsholt, 1981 - (Gelechiidae / Gelechiinae)

 

Notes: Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on sand-dunes at a few Scottish localities, including Loch Fleet in east Sutherland and Black Isle in Easter Ross. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 10-12 mm. The most likely confusion species are C. kroesmanniella and C. huebneri, which see for differences. Larva feeds on flowers and seeds of Common Mouse-ear.
