0848a Syncopacma suecicella (Wolff, 1958) - (Gelechiidae / Anacampsinae)

 

Notes: Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and confined to dry heathland on the Lizard, Cornwall, where first discovered in 1984, a priority species under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 8-9 mm. Larva feeds on Hairy Greenweed, living between leaves spun together with silk.
