Suspected rare immigrant, or perhaps accidentally imported, from southern Europe. First recorded in the British Isles at Tramore, Co. Waterford on 22 September 2006. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 14-18 mm. Larva feeds on sedge, common reed and other similar plants.
