Notes:
Local in woodland, hedgerows and scrub in England and Wales, mostly in the south and east. In Hampshire local and uncommon, largely restricted to the south-east, where there is a notable population in Botley Wood; very rare in the New Forest and north of the county. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 14-16 mm. Characterised by its rather nondescript general appearance and the comparatively prominent black discal streak [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Blackthorn, Wild Cherry and Bird Cherry, living between leaves and shoots spun together with silk.
