Nationally scarce (Na) in mountains in parts of the Scottish Highlands. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 20-25 mm. Much the largest of the narrow-winged scopariines, with characteristically oblique termen and brownish hue [Goater]. Larva feeds on various lichens.
