Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) to the south coast of England from southern Europe. One claimed on the Isle of Wight in 2019 remains unconfirmed, as far as the author is aware, but it is listed here. Wingspan 24-28 mm. Similar to, but with different markings from, the common and widespread Ebulea crocealis. Larva feeds on Dark Mullein; very limited evidence of breeding in the UK.
